Samsung Epic 4G Fastest Android Smartphone

October 7th, 2010 No comments

Samsung Epic 4G is a perfect all-in-one device for staying connected, getting work done, and enjoying the latest in entertainment while on-the-go, the Samsung Epic 4G runs on Sprint’s new and expanding 4G network, offering simultaneous voice and data connectivity and download speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G. Additionally, the phone can still connect to 3G data services in areas not currently served by Sprint’s 4G network.

The Samsung Epic 4G comes with a massive 1GHz Hummingbird processor, which has a GU that supposedly delivers 89 million triangles per second. This might not sound too much but it is 3 times faster than Qualcomm’s 1 GHz Snapdragon processor’s output. So it goes without saying that the UI of Epic is better than most other smartphones. The graphics performance of this phone might put some of the netbooks to shame. You can get graphics accelerated Flash as well as HD video playback on this phone too.

The Super AMOLED screen works its magic and gives you the user experience HTC and Motorola can only dream about. Although we did not really like the Samsung’s TouchWiz screen, it still manages to get the job done. The phone has 5MP camera that can also record 720P HD videos.

Apart from the usual connectivity options, Epic can also utilize the WiMAX 4G network from Sprint. The phone also comes with a decent Battery life that can sustain you throughout the office hours. Price Range: $199.99 to $649.99 from 9 Sellers.
