Early life 
Mahira had never thought of acting as a VJ on MTV Pakistan and was studying in Los Angeles, U.S.A. from whence she came to Pakistan to enroll at the Indus TV network for an internship in marketing. The day of her arrival marked the sudden end of the careers of two of the VJs at the network. Ghazanfer Ali, CEO of the television network insisted she took the lead where the two left a void and hence she got a show for herself. She is married Ali Askari.A creative director by profession and has a baby boy, Azlaan.

At MTV Pakistan 

Mahira c hosted a live show called Most Wanted three days a week and prefers live shows over recorded. Of the people at the network, she is particularly close to Dino and adores Cyrus at MTV India.

Career
Mahira has hosted live shows called Most Wanted three days a week on MTV Pakistan and Weekend with Mahira on Aag TV. She has worked alongside other VJs like Anoushey Ashraf and Dino. Mahira Khan had her film debut in Shoaib Mansoor’s 2011 Bol co-starring Atif Aslam, Humaima Abbasi, Iman Ali and others. Mahira is currently busy shooting for Mehreen Jabbar’s upcoming drama serial titled Neeyat.She is also a model and has worked in different ads. She has also done commercials for leading brands.

Atif Aslam – the singing sensation & superstar of Pakistan – is now ready to make his debut on Big Screen. Yes, Atif Aslam has decided to work in Pakistani Movies and he has been signed by Shoaib Mansoor for his upcoming movie “Bol” . Atif Aslam will be playing the role of A Low Profile Doctor in the movie. As per our information, the shooting of the movie will start in March 2010 this year.So keep your fingers crossed and wait for the time till we see Atif Aslam on our Big Screen. Admitting that we don’t have much hits on our credits on the big screen would not be a shame but certainly we can improve it . To explore ma talent and the ability to act is the primary reason for me to convince my friends family n myself but not to be in the news certainly. I started ma singing career from PAKISTAN and Atif Aslam was made by PAKISTAN . I had alot ov offers to work with the BHATT’S , the RAJ’S starring the premium class but certainly wanted to begin from the house and didn’t want to become a choclate hero.
