Yesterday’s attack involved a lone suicide bomber who drove a minivan into a busy shopping area in Peshawar’s main Khyber bazaar, just 1 km from the provincial legislature of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP).
The blast occurred at 12:15pm after a white car rammed into a public transport bus, Cantt Superintendent of Police Nisar Marwat told reporters. He said the car was packed with 100 kilogrammes of explosives.
